Lovin

Trying to get into the IT field from a non-technical warehouse job was extremely difficult.  I was taking computer networking at CCRI and applying to entry-level IT jobs, and not even getting callbacks.  One day on my way to my internship (so I was dressed all fancy), I knocked on the door at Vertikal6 and asked to speak to the hiring manager about the apprenticeship. Jenna spoke to me and invited me to interview, and then offered me the apprenticeship.  The apprenticeship is so much more than just a paycheck. Each day I see something I haven’t seen before that I’m going to have to look up, learn about, and try to fix.
