CNC Machinist

I love the feeling of accomplishment I get from making new things. This is not a mass production environment – we make the industrial robots that do mass production. This is a hands-on problem solving environment in which I draw on knowledge of materials, math, machines, and programming to execute each job. I’ve been in the machine shop since 1965 during the course of which I have learned manual machines, CNC machining, and programming. I am still doing new things every day and I love it. Apprenticeship is about passing on knowledge to the next generation of CNC Machinists.
